The UK National Curriculum describes Key Stage 1 as taught to children aged 5–7 in years 1–2 of primary school, with main subjects like English, Maths and beginner Science. At the end, students take the Standard Attainment Test (SAT), consisting of English Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar, English Reading, and Maths (arithmetic, problem solving and reasoning).
Key Stage 2 is taught to children aged 7–11 in years 3–6 of primary school, with main subjects like English, Maths and Science. When Year 6 comes to an end, students take the SAT, consisting of English Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar, English Reading and Maths (arithmetic and reasoning).
Key Stage 3 is taught to children aged 11–14 in years 7–9 of secondary school, with the core subjects of English, Maths and Science.
Key Stage 4 is taught to students aged 15–16 in years 10–11 of secondary school, with the core subjects of English, Maths and Science. The GCSE is a subject-based academic qualification just before the start of A Level, held at the end of Year 11.

Our maths programmes are designed to ensure that students develop fluent knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical methods and concepts. They help students apply mathematical techniques to solve problems, and we are proud of ensuring our students feel confident reasoning mathematically while making deductions, inferences and drawing mathematical conclusions.
Science is a very important subject to help students make sense of the material world. Taught in three disciplines — Biology, Chemistry and Physics — our teaching methods are designed to inspire enthusiasm and curiosity, and to infuse a spirit among our students as to how science works, empowering them to appreciate science and its relevance to their day-to-day life.
